First i give you that it's bs that our bullets stop in that red barrier so yeah please let us shoot trought.
Second i restarted 4 times already after wave 50 because some ship refused to come in no matter how far away i went and since there is the god ray red barrier i can do nothing.
And also the time i need to put in to every single try to 100 here is waaaaaay too long.
I mean "waves" yeah right they are wave waves . Each wave got 3/6 spawns so at best you can manage 300 waves . And then pray that no bs happens which makes you do it over again. And there is 3 scenario so 3x300 waves if everything goes well .
So yeah the third one is please make the waves waves. :)
Fine. It's a skill issue. I work a full-time, 40-hour-week job, I never got to grow up playing video games, and I find Subverse enjoyable (for the titties, sure, but also) for the fact that the Dev team has properly made every waifu actually interesting, and all of their Devotion quests are really engaging. I really lament the fact that I'll never get to do a Devotion quest for Fow-chan and get to know her as a person, because I am not gonna suffer through unsurvivable waves of attacks that I have zero chance of actually beating.
Grid combat is very easy:
-Use Fow-chan and your favourite mantics
-Only use her second attack, the one that mark and stun. It's great for keeping your mantic alive and it boosts her second ultimate
-Everytime her ultimate is up, use the second one at the start of the next wave to maximize the number of kills she gets. The game might show you that the attack will hurt your mantic, but it doesn't. (Not sure which behavious is intended)
-Once you killed 20 ennemies with Fow-chan, just park her in a corner and spam her first attack. It one shot EVERYTHING
Fow-chan grid combat is actually quite easy. Move Fow-chan to a corner far away from any enemy. Spam "Devour" until ultimate #1 is ready, then do that. After a few waves you don't even have to use the ultimate, just Devour spam until the end.
Then there's the guys with pirate hats that act before you and if they spawn close enough to shoot you they take half your hp, if two would spawn in a single wave that could potentially 1 shot you before you can even act. Has not happened to me and I got to wave 100 but that was a boring slog.
Either they should make the ground combat more interesting or just don't force people into this boring mess.
The developer should allow us to quit and resume a challenge by restarting the last wave we reached. Kind of like an auto save, which should help even if the game crashes.
The other suggestions of auto fire option and bullets penetrating the barrier are also good ideas. (I did notice the companions special attack can penetrate that barrier though.)
Still I do like that they added this game mode, as I do like the space combat, even this masochistic endurance run. That pesky space combat cell, is the last arena left to be cleared for me.
Speaking of enemies stucking in walls, it seems that Fow-chan's skill could wall-hack. I experienced this but I just throw Fow-chan skill at the walls and I cleared the wave.
another issue is enemy capacity, even you have perfect shoot skill, just like the captain. it take almost 2 hours to reach level #100, achievement seems a torment, not a challenge. here comes a suggestion: ally ship or auto firing mini ship(just fortune' ability), it would slightly lower level difficulty, but 100 levels still take too long.
Ohhh, so that's what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed me. I was at about wave 80, thought I had this in the bag and something oneshotted me at full everything. Yeah, I think I'm uninstalling, this isn't challenging, it's just very tedious and rng-based.
