Feedbacks on Space Combat Eldritch Trials
Hello there

I've made my way to level 96 and I won't sugar-coat it : it's not enjoyable. For multiple reasons :
1) It took me well over 1h, maybe 2h (I honestly lost track on time). Which means 2h of CONSTANTLY having to press the mouse button to shoot. It hurts. It was an issue in the basic space combat stage because they were short, but there it is. Please add an option to toggle fire instead of having to hold to shoot.
2) Every 10th stages and the last 10 are really REALLY long. They feel endless. Please add a kill counter.
3) Speaking of them, I don't think increasing the number of enemies tenfold is a good idea for those stages. Maybe a mini boss every 10th stage ? And a mini boss rush for the 90th to 99th level and a boss for the 100th ?
4) Why on earth can't I shoot enemies outside of the barrier when they can ? Please allow the projectile to go through the barrier.

And finally. I have only reached level 96 because your game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugged and no more enemies spawned ! I lost 2h of painful gameplay just to be softlock by a bug ! Extremely frustrating, please add fail-safe like "if no enemies is killed within a certain time, go to next level".

what's equally as frustrating, is the one ship that fires the blue disks. Pops up and one shot me. I have failed every run because of that ship. It needs to be nerfed. Theres no reason why at full health, AND full shields, i should die in one hit. I have lost 5 hours total to that thing since yesterday already.

Also, for the bug you mentioned, I noticed that sometimes a ship will get stuck inside an environment piece. Ive had to shoot random ass rocks just to advance to the next level at round 18 a couple times
Well tbh i think they should change three things for space combat here :

First i give you that it's bs that our bullets stop in that red barrier so yeah please let us shoot trought.

Second i restarted 4 times already after wave 50 because some ship refused to come in no matter how far away i went and since there is the god ray red barrier i can do nothing.
And also the time i need to put in to every single try to 100 here is waaaaaay too long.
I mean "waves" yeah right they are wave waves . Each wave got 3/6 spawns so at best you can manage 300 waves . And then pray that no bs happens which makes you do it over again. And there is 3 scenario so 3x300 waves if everything goes well .

So yeah the third one is please make the waves waves. :)

On Fow-chan grid combat, I've survived as far as, but didn't make it past, Wave 10, and I don't even bother with space combat because I keep getting swarmed and dying, so I just wait three times to "win". And I know I'm gonna have my intelligence insulted for it being "a skill issue", to which I will say,

Fine. It's a skill issue. I work a full-time, 40-hour-week job, I never got to grow up playing video games, and I find Subverse enjoyable (for the titties, sure, but also) for the fact that the Dev team has properly made every waifu actually interesting, and all of their Devotion quests are really engaging. I really lament the fact that I'll never get to do a Devotion quest for Fow-chan and get to know her as a person, because I am not gonna suffer through unsurvivable waves of attacks that I have zero chance of actually beating.

Grid combat is very easy:
-Use Fow-chan and your favourite mantics
-Only use her second attack, the one that mark and stun. It's great for keeping your mantic alive and it boosts her second ultimate
-Everytime her ultimate is up, use the second one at the start of the next wave to maximize the number of kills she gets. The game might show you that the attack will hurt your mantic, but it doesn't. (Not sure which behavious is intended)
-Once you killed 20 ennemies with Fow-chan, just park her in a corner and spam her first attack. It one shot EVERYTHING

Fow-chan grid combat is actually quite easy. Move Fow-chan to a corner far away from any enemy. Spam "Devour" until ultimate #1 is ready, then do that. After a few waves you don't even have to use the ultimate, just Devour spam until the end.

I just completed wave 100 in ground combat, its so freaking boring, like other people have said the only way to do it is with fow chan to pump up her buff and once you got it to 20 she almost 1 shots everything, there's some guys with shields that you have to hit twice.
Then there's the guys with pirate hats that act before you and if they spawn close enough to shoot you they take half your hp, if two would spawn in a single wave that could potentially 1 shot you before you can even act. Has not happened to me and I got to wave 100 but that was a boring slog.

Either they should make the ground combat more interesting or just don't force people into this boring mess.

Add checkpoints every 10 waves. 2 hour space shooter segment that restarts from scratch if you so much as sneeze is too harsh.

I also just made my way to wave 96 space combat in the cell arena, and the enemies quit showing up. Super Frustrating, as if this endurance run on a small arena isn't frustrating enough! The game had also once crashed during those 100 wave ground combat sessions. This game mode needs a fix!

The developer should allow us to quit and resume a challenge by restarting the last wave we reached. Kind of like an auto save, which should help even if the game crashes.

The other suggestions of auto fire option and bullets penetrating the barrier are also good ideas. (I did notice the companions special attack can penetrate that barrier though.)

Still I do like that they added this game mode, as I do like the space combat, even this masochistic endurance run. That pesky space combat cell, is the last arena left to be cleared for me.
Getting farthest to 93. It seems like a struggle to me. I think I'm an OK space-shooter but this is just way too long and all efforts are easily destroyed by a tiny error.
Speaking of enemies stucking in walls, it seems that Fow-chan's skill could wall-hack. I experienced this but I just throw Fow-chan skill at the walls and I cleared the wave.

stay highly focus on dealing 100 waves, it's really exhausted. don't even mention 'bout each wave contain at least 30+ ship(big one or small ship). maybe giving more bonus reward for the long continuous fight, higher level you reach got more point, ex: each round give challenge point that could improve your fire power, or f3n1x max sheild.

another issue is enemy capacity, even you have perfect shoot skill, just like the captain. it take almost 2 hours to reach level #100, achievement seems a torment, not a challenge. here comes a suggestion: ally ship or auto firing mini ship(just fortune' ability), it would slightly lower level difficulty, but 100 levels still take too long.

i made it to 100, seemed fine to me. Fow-chan made short work of anything i didnt want to face head on. also utilizing the terrain is helpful
Honestly both space and grid combat if you aim at clearing all 100 levels is a lot. I mean, I do find space combat fun and grid combat OK but to just sit and spend an hour+ straight on either sounds...not fun. Would be great if we could hit like checkpoint every 10 levels or so where you could quit and pick it up later and of course if you die, your progress is reset.

Fow-Chan's space combat voicelines are annoying.

Ohhh, so that's what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed me. I was at about wave 80, thought I had this in the bag and something oneshotted me at full everything. Yeah, I think I'm uninstalling, this isn't challenging, it's just very tedious and rng-based.
