What were youe honest thoughts on the game?

I want to start off by saying that the game isn't perfect and I definitely had gripes, but on the whole, I really enjoyed it.

I thought the game was funny, had good characters all around (except Sova), including side characters, ran smooth (for me at least), and had a nice gameplay loop.

I have a few nitpicks, a lot of the early space and ground missions can be repetitive, although that's something they got better at in future updates. The nebulas could also be a bit too big given that only like half of the whole nap was needed for me to level up all the girls so sometimes it felt like a chore.

That said, considering this is first and for most a porn game made by a porn studio with a very small budget, I think FOW did a great job.

I've heard talk of a potential DLC either for Celestina or FowChan and honestly I'd definitely like to come back to this game for something like that. Maybe they could add more customization options as well (another small gripe).

Honestly, storywise it feels like this is a half of the game. The ending doesn't really feel like one. Barely anything has changed, and that's what irks me. It feels like my team hasn't achieved anything. Celestina changed her mind on enforcing the Veil? Erark did that in the middle of the game. She'll keep the Imperium off our backs? Erark has been doing that for us. Erark's death hasn't solved anything, too, since he was genuine in his plans to lift the Veil and really loved Celestina. Tibold is killed off for good, but he was already thought dead since the beginning. Landervoo is killed, but also who even? That guy was so unimportant I didn't care. So far it feels like I've recruited all these people for something, and this something hasn't happened yet. If at least Celestina offered the Captain to work together in fixing Prodigium, that would have felt much better, that would mean I achieved something. But she was like "I'll figure out what to do later" - the same thing she's been doing the whole game. The ending is disappointing, but I hope the developers continue the story and give it a proper finale.

I enjoyed game and story.
But intercourse-wise the game is very weak and limp :\

Story up to 1.0. Bland and not particularly funny. The characters were certainly unique, but it felt like the story was dragging them down. Closest we had to funny was the side quests but half of them I didn't recognize who was being mocked so they went over my head.

Story at 1.0. Mai Selph's spoiler blocked section sums it up well. I've read and watched enough garbage that I can't say it is even close to the worst I've seen, but it was still bad.

The biggest letdown by far was devotion quests. I avoided them until 1.0 since they had warned us they were incomplete in early access. The way it was hyped and delayed I was expecting a long multi-part quest chain with extensive character development. Instead we get a single mission w/ a unique fight and character development that isn't much more than we got in the 10/20/30 devotion texts.

I don't quite understand how a memory of a thing that happened waaaay back in the past cucks a person, while ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ someone other than them in the present doesn't, but if the mantics don't count — there are also a few scenes with ords. Intelligent aliens, Maeyomodo is one of them (he's not in Pandora). That, and Ela's devotion movie is a thing. Also Killi said she'll ♥♥♥♥ Dallick. So, yeah, I don't think Subverse is for you.

Overall I'm positive and gave it a good review. High quality, solid production, stable, humor is tasteless and thats fine for me, the story is cool. The combat, thats another story altogether. The mechanics are decent and have potential. It doesn't feel play tested or balanced. Combat onboarding for the twin stick fighting is non existent, and the game ramps up difficulty way too fast. The boss battles are way too hard compared to the std battles. In good games, you are constantly tested in order to advance to the next phase, here its flat lined, until you get to a boss then its overly diffficult. Good games train you to finish them, this game punishes you for trying. Now that I'm practiced, I like the space combat. But it took way too much frustration, for something that doesn't payoff. Its just kind of mid and the rewards are too repetitive. I highly recommend people just skip the combat, unless you are OCD like me. Its not worth it. I do think it would be valuble to have a checkmark in the mission replay list, so you know which mission you actually won vs skipped. Lastly, speaking of rewards, shouldn't your waifus reward you for a job well done. Shouldn't there be dates on inhabited planets, it would be cool if there were secret quests for taking certain waifus on certain missions, etc. Overall pretty good for a indie, but could have been way better.

Now at the risk of sounding like a sycophant, let's go back to sharing our thoughts on the game.

My thoughts on the game is that it's not perfect but there is no other game like on the market. Overall the package is still pretty amazing and a labor of love.

Right now it's about 8.9 for me, losing some points because some of my favorite waifu are a bit low on content but that could always be remedied. Also some point lost for never being able to see Hunty's beautiful face in pandora.

My friend, the "game" is never going to be finished. This is "give me 75k $ a month" scam. Helios is a fraud. Also giving 9/10 StudioFow for models/visuals is generous.

overall you have basically the same thoughts as i did on it, my biggest problem though is with the very long dev time and EA on it, what they set out to do (being the first actual game with porn not just another porn game with minor gameplay) just sorta passed them by, during the EA dev time other porn games with as good if not better gameplay came out, so this was no longer the first. and as such it just sort of fell behind.
overall still pretty good, just disappointed that it didn't live up to the expectations.

Talking about meaty part *** screens alone, as a porn game it should be good at

To put it bluntly, the game is a collection of short clips, band-aided together with "PANDORA" video player. The quality is equal to Source Filmmaker back then, which is between low and average when compared to porn made with Blender, Autodesk Maya...etc

Fixed cams, some camera angle of few clips is weird like I want to see the money shoot, not their back or side then fade to black, clipping issues in some screens with generic porn music
