Restart game on full release

I saw in trailer that the full release was overhauling alot of features and streamlining the pacing of the early game.
Should i wait the one week till full release and then just start game fresh?
I picked game up yesterday and played through what i assume is most of the railroaded content for about 2 hours until we first get access moving around the ship and cut scenes stop auto playing.
I ask if i need to start again as the trailer showed the dialogue cut scenes now having camera controls and it seems we cant replay the tutorial missions to see them again.

With the 1.0 release, Everyone's saves are getting wiped.

Its just that much of a monster update with the various new systems and reward distributions.

I was planning to restart the game once 1.0 releases anyways, but it's good to know that it isn't compatible with previous saves.

Controller support is something Studio-Fow will be working on post-release 1.0

The save file? I'm sure it's in the game files somewhere BUT if you delete the game then the save is effectively deleted as there is no cloud save and the game doesn't stash it in a file somewhere on your pc. I imagine the update will erase everything or make it unusable anyway though.

Yeah, I kinda want it to erase it, and that deletion would be after the update right? Not just because there is no cloud save? because I had this game uninstalled and then I installed it again in preparation for 1.0 and there was the save file still.

Done a full playthrough of the new release and while there are no shortcuts, there is no need to do all planets to max out everything.

+ something that nobody seems to have mentioned SO FAR is an interactive erotic scene with Taron in the cockpit missing.

Here's to hoping it will be re-added in future content, assume it would be before we get Celestina newds from the nerd sidequests or actual Celestina H-scenes
