The quality still falls in the high-end range for h games imo.

Subverse was never going to be a Triple-A type game. that's something people should understand from the start. i bought this game already knowing this. but it's still a pretty great adult game. the best in steam's library that's for sure. every other adult game out here are visual novels or are all using the same renpy 3d engine

How come they still haven't run out of funds though? Can't imagine the original kickstarter sum to be enough to last that long.

Well several factors probably(!): Sales on Steam, a seemingly large & sudden exodus of the dev team several months ago & probably remaining people who really want to finish this without getting a huge salary - maybe passion/dedication. Due to the downsized dev team (and maybe also funding reasons) updates got way less frequent, and imo also a bit lacking in content. But this is nothing more than assumptions and i doubt there will be more official statements on this matter, than what was done quite a while ago.

Personally I am just happy that there is updates still coming, even though the initial hype/motivation seems somewhat gone. Which I can understand given the circumstances. This is still a very unique game in regards to games with pornographic content - so I still hope it will turn out well in the end. They still want this game to be more than just a fap experience. That alone already irritated some people. I hope they will be able to keep the plan on bringing the next update this month.
