Adult games are a niche market that hasn't had anyone step up to fill it. HS2 is not a game it's a simulator, a good one (not great), but they have no competitors to speak of. Studio Fow, the ones behind "Subverse" have been creating animated porn for years, yet they are only now attempting to develop a game. It's a market that developers just don't see any real profit in. I think they are wrong, but it's only my opinion.

Some of it is the idiotic censorship rules on games that come from Japan. I just came from Honey Select and I thought about buying it, but the patch you can get still censors and doesn't contain the studio? For $70? ♥♥♥♥ that. The Japanese devs don't help themselves by pretty much ignoring Western players and not making their best effort to make the full game available.

With this game there seems to be so much back and forth with butthurt Chinese players, who I've seen review bombing great games so their opinion doesn't matter, and disappointed people saying this game isn't nearly what it should be, and others still saying it is great that I really can't tell if this game is good or not. Subverse has got to have the most confused review scores and forum evaluations that I've ever seen. I suppose I'll have to check it out and see for myself.

i dont know what honey select mod you have but what i have is fully uncensored and have all my favorite video game characters perfectly created. there is also a mod for the fleshlight machine kiiro keon to sync with the movements of the game and it jacks you off hands free. and its the same as koikatsu the mods for those games makes the game 64% better

I don't own the game but I was considering it yesterday, and there was a big thread there saying that the studio wasn't able to be added even with a mod and there was still a mosaic - which for $70 ofc I said no thanks.

I'll have to add it to my wishlist again.

Off topic do you own that machine? It sounds interesting but I had a fleshlight once and I found it to be too much of a pain in the ass to clean.

Nah, I just went to Honey Select again and everything I'm reading indicates that patching is a nightmare. There's someone on the forums in one of the big threads, all like, "Hey man... dm me and I'll give you a link to the patch" like it's some sort of state secret or they're gonna try and get people into a crypto scam. And then there's a guide on where to get the patch, super popular, where a guy is selling the uncensor patch for $6 which I won't do under any circumstances for a game which is that kind of money. That's EA level ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

For $70 I would expect the dev to be on point with that kind of thing and not expect people to do this black market style stuff.

I mean maybe it's great once it is setup and you've bought what you need to buy, but personally, "easy and free to patch" is a major part of my definition of 'good'.

I don't know what flashlight you had but this has a opening on both side and inside of a case that you can screw the end off. The machine is called kiiro Keon just Google it. Its 150 dollar's. It works with vr headset also.

"niche market" ??? wake up, which game get support like this mess? they did take £1,668,626 from the kickstarter.(they were no name dev for gaming industry,no exp,no team) And sold tons of copy since 26 March 2021.

if no one interested about this potential i'm sure p0rnhub itself will make a first AAA adult game in the near future.

Ohhh, okay...PH already is heavy into promoting animated adult vids. StudioFlow has been at it for years, among other contributors (mostly "lone-wolf" producers.) As for adult games being a niche market, it's a specialized segment of the market, that hasn't developed. The videos draw more of the cash over games, the the selection of quality gamaes is just not there, even though the talent exists to make premium adult games. A few more epidemics and it will be a market that explodes, excuse the pun. Still trying to translate some of your post...40+ female here and may not be as up to date on all the current vernacular. Anyway, this is all just my opinion, not that it's worth anything.

It's because of the mainstream aversion to the content, which is stupid because violence is A-OK. I feel like the more games like this normalize having adult content, the better games will get, but the companies making these types of games just can't afford big budget stuff or hire industry pros who know what it takes to make an amazing game. This game was funded well, but let's face it, it costs WAY more than what they got to make a legit AAA type game.

Clearly you've never played any of the eushully titles :0 I got so immersed in The Battle system, Shop management , and crafting, I forgot I was playing a porn game until it started popping up.
Also speaking of great games, Huniepop was well crafted. It didn't have that triple A flair, but it was great quality wise, with a good blend of gameplay and porn.

Also, Also, SUbverse is pretty good. Ill definitely be buying any future installments of the company based on how well theyve handled things

After that you can search were to download those games, which were fan-translated to English (VNDB webpage shows info on which games were translated). You can start with Kamidori Alchemy Meister

The main problems are:
- The struggle of conciliating the artistic and the profit aspects (this is a problem for every game today)
- Sex is taboo. Big companies don't want their names associated with it. So, only indie developers who are not used to manage big budgets are developing adult games.
- People who like and understand this genre don't want/can't make games
- Those who can make games don't understand the genre

Maybe you could try to mod Skyrim or TS4. Then you would have a decent game + adult content.

There are no great adult games. But there are some decent ones besides illusion. You could try COM3D2, Wildlife (now they have some creation tools, if you are into it), Virt-a-mate, Seed of the dead, etc

Just an fyi VAM Virt-a-Mate is more like Daz Studio and Blender where character creation, the hard way is more applicable. Though you'd have to learn the clipping, rendering, modelling as well as rigging these damn things into scenes you'll prolly forget 2-3 projects in and then ask/beg for patreon supporters.
