Cutscene lag, how to fix?
Sup

My game when i have any cutscene starts lagging and then the audio cuts and i cant hear anything, is kinda like a fps drop but theres no fps dropping (checked it)

OS Win10
My computer do have the specs to be played, tested with graphics on high/medium/low and w/e the problem still happens, so i believe it's not related to my computer specs.

Do you guys are suffering this too? Does it have any fix?

I have the same problem. Horrible lag during cut scenes. I'm also noticing that sometimes during dialog, I get people repeating words occasionally.

Same. Choppy cutscenes and audio to boot.

Ditto. checking online stated to try updating sound drivers. Did that. Problem is still there. My pc meets all the specs

Either they didn't even bother testing this game or ran the game with NASA computers.

Having same issue. The rest of the game runs fine so have no idea why

Same problem here. So far everything in the game runs like a dream, yet the movies lag super hard and often cut off early. It's rather weird for a movie to lag worse than the actual gameplay isn't it?

Just tested that. No change.

Yeah I'm getting ABYSMAL performance. I'm not a big know it all with PC's, my friends usually build mine for me. I run every other game in my library at high or ultra settings, and if i want to MAYBE get through cutscenes I need to run on lowest settings.

Glad it's not just me then.

Clearly something they need to work out.

In bug report someone suggested to add -force-d3d11 in luanch options.

Didn't work for me thought.

I saw that and tried that too, with no change unfortunately.

Hey guys, can you try solution that I suggested in bug reporting thread:
They use avc1 (Advanced Video Codec/H.264) for their videos. Might be that installing some codec pack with h264 support (like K-Lite Codec Pack) will solve the issue.

If you have Windows 10 N version, installing Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows 10 might also solve the issue

Also I think it would be helpful to have dxdiag log from people with this problem.

Do you have it installed on HDD? If so the game might be struggling with reading data fast enough, which there might not be too much you can do, but one thing you could try is to defragment your HDD

I have tried the following:

  • Add -force-d3d11 in launch options.
  • Install K-Lite Codec Pack.
  • Check DirectX with dxdiag. It has the latest Dx12 version.
  • Move the game from HDD to SSD.

No success so far. Rest of the game seems to run fine, it only affects cutscenes.
