So is this basically a Custom Robo but bad?
Is there anything here that makes it worth the asking price or should I just get my GameCube out again?

I checked and holy crap, it does seem like the same people were involved!

I have super mixed feelings now, bad graphics aside, the movement and weapon impact looks so much worse than the previous games. I wonder what went wrong, they literally just had to copy their previous work.

Well for one, they can't make the game look too much like Custom Robo.
And the weapon effects look great in my opinion. Just not as cartoonish. I get that many of us old fans will have to learn to like the new style.

It's not bad at all. I think it looks and plays fine. My only disappointment is the lack of any story mode, like in CR. As it is now it's basically an arena fighter.

I am not a fan that they removed the spawning mechanic. I mean the copied almost everything else so they could have done something else than just spawn 2 characters.

Also in the videos it just seems like the character animation is not 1:1 to their actual movement which makes it feel weird.

I guess since it's actually made by the people who made my favorite games I'll give it a go once it gets a few more patches.

I mean, the spawning mechanic is not much different. You still choose where you drop. It's just instant, which is less satisfying than the 3-2-1-GO in Custom Robo. But eh, it's not that bad.

Animation I do agree is a slight issue. Dunno if it's all animation or that and sound, but some ultimates feel somewhat flimsy, not as heavy-hitting as they should be. But here's hoping the devs keep updating the game, but as it is right now, it's fun enough.

Ah, that's what this game reminded me of! Thanks. I knew the moment I saw the camera angle, the stage, and the good old school style of doing battle - spamming large attacks around an arena.

Anyone else complete rahu 2 and never even finish 1?

Yeah, good times haha
You should try the N64 games, they recently got an english patch (at least one of them did for sure) and they are just as good as the GameCube ones! Very close to the NDS one if you've played that.

I'm always amazed when I go back and play some old games. I tried that kirby one where you can combine any 2 power ups or double up on 1. Looked really good for N64. What are the N64 games called? Custom Robo as well? Seems like this dev has a thing they like to make.

Yup, it was Custom Robo and Custom Robo 2 I believe. They are really good!

It was created by the same director as Custom Robo, but yeah this game is pretty bad. Feels like the game needed more dev time and for the price its hard to recommend. I did have fun with a few online matches but this game is janky.
