Not loading - black screen

So I'm posting this to see if anyone has ran into this same issue. I just purchased this game, I've tried standard, experimental, and wmr_test and all three versions will not load. I'm using an Oculus Rift Quest 2, that's running a virtual desktop and Steam VR through it. To date I've been able to play all other games in my library just fine. When I select launch on my desktop I get the option of playing in SteamVR mode and Oculus VR mode. I've tried both options with every version of the game and I only get a black screen. Sometimes I get what looks like the main menu except it's frozen in place and all jumbled together and I'm halfway through the floor. 99% of the time I just get blackness. If I launch Steam VR Home first and then try to launch Blood Trail through that, I'll just get stuck on the "NEXT UP" loading screen. I might try just leaving my headset on and seeing if I just need to wait longer. I have the Oculus Software running btw. I can't run my games in steam vr without it. I got a Radeon RX 580 graphics card and an i5 CPU, I've never had issues with graphics so I don't think this is the issue. I'm just not able to boot this game up at all and it has to be something with my setup. I can still run all my other games no problem but there's something going on here where I can't even reach the main menu.
I noticed there was just an update to both Steam VR and the Experimental branch update so maybe something is going on there - however again, I get the same exact issue of a black screen no matter what is going on. I even set up my Steam VR space to see if there was something going on there. I really want to play this game - just wondering if anyone is having similar issues or even a possible solution to try.

Okay I figured it out. If anyone has a setup like mine where you're running Virtual Desktop on the Oculus Quest 2, then running Steam VR through that, make sure you don't have your Oculus Link cord plugged in. I keep mine plugged in even through I'm running the Virtual Desktop just to keep a charge. But if you leave it plugged in, it will conflict with the Oculus App and not let you load stuff.

I have a Oculus Rift S. Would that work for me as well? I'm having the same issue. Everytime I try to start the game with either launcher (Steam or Oculus) I get a black screen and it turns my oculus off, so I have to restart Oculus everytime it happens.

I am having the same problem but I don't plug my headset in and there is still the same issue do you know a way to fix this?

SAME ISSUE EXCEPT i am not plugged in at all. it just goes black

have you found a fix to this ik this was like a year ago but im having the same issue
