We'd like to thank everyone here for your participation and your enthusiasm for Blood Trail! There are a lot of questions we get asked, and the number one question is if Blood Trail will also get a non-VR release. Today, we're pleased to confirm that it will! Blood Trail is a special experience in VR, but our internal tests have made it very clear to us that the game is fully viable and still really fun outside of VR, and we don't want to deny that experience to other gamers who clearly want to play as well. We also want to assure you that we will continue to to develop in VR, for VR as the primary platform. When the time is right, we will fork the project and tailor it as needed to be fully playable without an HMD. We don't have any further information on this other that it is happening, and will not affect the current development schedule in any way. Cheers!
Not that I'm aware of for now. Devs said that the VR will be the main platform for the game and "maybe" later they will work towards a non vr version. Let's wait and see.
Now regarding other comments here... never understand the dudes that go to VR games to cry that VR is dead and that they want those games in flat version. It's like me going to flight sim forums and complaining that I don't have a HOTAS so those games should work with my xbox controller. Or to serious racing sims and saying that racing wheels are stupid.
You know, if these games look so cool to you that you need to go and cry about you wanting them, maybe VR is not as dead as you think? The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point of these games is to experience them in VR, if you take that back from this game for example you have a watered and stripped down version of Soldier of Fortune. I understand you've never even tried VR outside of crappy google cardboard stuff but maybe you should give it a try or just leave alone devs that maybe are just interested in developing something for VR.
No problem dude, just wondering cause I won't be playing VR anytime soon. SoF is pretty dope and fun indeed.
I'm not into buying it cause I like my gaming setup as it is nad I rather play everything on my keyboard mouse and screen.
Let's keep this thread only for info about the non vr version of the game so that at least someone like myself can enjoy the game when it eventually releases.
Sorry you can't afford it
