Game runs fine on older ones. Yes its annoying, but i seen stuff like this happening with far bigger publishers/games.
If it does not get fixed in the next day or so you can decide to become annoyed, but i wont give a negative review to a Super Robot Wars game for something like this. Especially not the first Super Robot Wars game EVER to come to PC.
Nope, not happening. But you are a free person, go right ahead.
There are other ways to contact them. They have email, they have a twitter, they have a official website and so on.
DIRECT ways to contact. Not " write negative review and hope they react".
Also, i dont review games on technical aspects, this is clearly a driver bug that has nothing to do with the quality and gameplay of the title itself.
If it was completely unplayable and would not been fixed for weeks it would be a different story.
But even then i would rather refund.
As someone with nearly 3500 games on Steam and a few hundred more on GOG, ORGIN and UPLAY, that is just false.
I could easily name a two dozen or so games that have problems with specific driver versions or need certain older ones.
Also, the last 2 driver updates from NVIDIA are from the last 2 weeks and are the ones that do not work. By that point the developers already uploaded the game package to Steam, the port was done.
What reason would they have to suspect the newer drivers would bug out something in the game?
And it IS a driver error, Windows error log even states that something in the NVIDIA driver crashed when the white screen occurred.
Its not like NVIDIA is some angel with perfect track record, they had to take back certain driver updates 3 times! in the last year alone because it crashed games and led to problems.
SRWV is already incredibly niche and is sold only in certain regions, I'm not in favor of showing them that even hardcore fans don't care that they ported this over to the PC (even if it's possibly the "inferior" Switch version re-ported).
Particularly when this problem can be solved through user intervention(for now). Nvidia will probably update within a day or two if the devs don't do it themselves to accommodate this problem.
My only complaint is just how I wish the mouse control is a bit better, but not that big of issue either imo.
Exactly.
There's mouse pointer support actually. Feels a bit clunky, but that's something entirely different from no support.
