Black Screen when i launch the game

Hey guys so whenever i want to start the game not even the launcher starts properly and only shows a black screen.
Any Ideas on how to solve this ?

disable fullscreen optimizations on the game executable in the folder.....windows compatibility tab

another trick that works is to hold ctrl alt delete to minimize the game and then click on the game to bring it back up....less annoying to just disable fullscreen optimizations instead of always minimizing the game

When I first launched the game, the game was displayed in the upper-left two-thirds of my screen. I tried switching to fullscreen, but the mouse became unresponsive. I searched the community for solutions (which didn’t work).
Then, I adjusted the game’s resolution to the one recommended for my screen (available in my system settings), and after switching back to fullscreen, the issue was resolved

Closing it and try start it again,may be it can work.If you are first time play this game.It will happen this situation.I meet this just when i first time play it.But you can in your desk to open the game,which in the mode of compatible to run it.Or like dadadad said that,the resolution your screen isn't adjust the game.Then you just change it to adjust this game,like setting it higher than 1920*1080.

in launching options press play mafia, not the launcher
and to modify resolution press tab+enter

Dont start in Fullscreen... You can always change it in the options tho

I've had this problem before. Just waiting also works, but it will take a solid 2-3 minutes.

Same problem here and my PC is defiantly capable as I use it for Notch , Blender and Resolume video work.

Hey!You can refer to my method. First, you cannot directly launch the game with the shortcut. Instead, you need to enter the game interface of the steam library, click the small gear, and then select launcher to launch. Then, enter the launcher and turn off the full screen option. Then you can enter the game, but you cannot directly open the full screen. Instead, you need to turn off the vertical sync in the video settings. Then, you can open the full screen and launch the game directly with the shortcut

try to wait a minute and then just spam "shift tab" then also wait, and then go to any other app for example to discord, try to click to it few times, then the game starts launching(This is how it works for me)
