The game takes forever to start

The specs are enough to run this with constant 100+ FPS on 4k, but it takes an absurdly long time to start the game, like 15 minutes

Any suggestions?

Need to switch steam to offline mode. Long startup due to connection to services 2K

But isn't the 2k launcher removed? Also what is up with this game!? I am not sure about the 15 minutes to start the game when I try I just get a Black screen and weirdness and thought the whole thing crashed or something and I could barely get back to the desktop. Just scratching my head at wtf is up with this game.

At this time it feels like a waste of money and a wannabe refund baby.
