Black screen [FIX]

1. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mafia Definitive Edition
2. Right click on "mafiadefinitiveedition.exe" then "properties" then "compatibility".
3. Check the box for "Disable fullscreen optimizations" apply and ok.

If you are still having a black screen, delete the folder "Mafia Definitive Edition" (which will also delete your saves) located at: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games

Or just check the box for "Disable fullscreen optimisation" and will work without deleting the whole game folder.

It doesn't work for me, I'm on the second mission of taking a lady to the church and halfway through the game closes on me

Well this only fixes the black screen problem, has nothing to do with game crashes.

You could try to block "mafiadefinitiveedition.exe" from the Firewall.
