Has Gameplay and Dialogue been modified from original?
I really enjoyed the grit and dialogue in the original game.
Has the dialogue/game been changed to a more socially acceptable/less realistic version?

Thanks,

Dialogue have been either change from original little bit or it said by different person, like on opening cutscene, in original Tommy goes meeting detective Norman, while in DE its other way around and so is their dialogue. some of the characters personality's have took a big change and some appear bit more goofy, angrier etc...

Some of the missions have been either shorten, objectives change or made it longer. Main idea of each mission however is still the same. Some of the outcomes have also change or they go bit differently. Non of these are however accepted by the community because they wanted copypaste stuff. Thous who accepted get's marked as idiots and are banned from this forum section.

As for realistic, i say this game does it little bit more than original, thinking a bit what was more commonly found on city and what wasn't. Game does also offer classic difficulty that makes the game just like old one, maybe a bit harder.

Other changes what there is that free ride and freeride extreme modes are now compined into free roam and you can't enter in trams and trains unlike in original.

So does this mean we may have a non-woke version of later mafia games?

Not sure what you mean by that but there is no racism like third game (despite the warning), i don't think the original have them either. There is maybe stereotypical Italian jokes and one cranky old woman pointing it out early in the game, other than that i can't remember.

Also no sex, just one strong independent woman with lot more scenes than in original, and hes father with extended backstory.

I still don't understand why people thought a game that took place in 1960s America wouldn't be about race issues. Like... do you not know what that time period was all about?

the main character of Mafia 3 fought in the vietnam war and there's Hippie iconography throughout the whole game

The game is about the 60s in its entirety, Civil Rights would be a pretty unavoidable issue

Thats what it means: Some gangster from UK, who fired the rest of the SJW scum as his first priority! Both a Mafia prequel (??) and Mafia 4, considering that Mafia starts in 1930:s I dont want a prequel, I want to series to advance not go back to post 1930:s USA.

There should be race issues and commentary that suit the expectations of those time periods. The terms "Mick" and "W0p" should be used(I am Italian, I dont care). No need to censor words like a bunch of babies. Lets keep it mature and realistic. It completely ruins immersion to be infused with social justice issues.

Also in the original Tommy is facing the wrong way. A made man always sits facing the entrance and near a window and has all exits covered. They fixed this with the new one. Actually, I didn't realize this until recently when my son mentioned it to me since I haven't played the old one in so long.
