Godawful controls
I can't be the only one who noticed this. In certain situations the game ignores pressed buttons, which is a big pain in the ass. If you, for example, open the map while holding the forward button and then close it, you have to release the button before it registers again. Doesn't seem like much, but it happens in every instance where the player control is temporarily suspended, like entering/exiting the car or waiting for the cutscene transition to end and makes you guess when exactly the control is given back to you. It is extremely frustrating in freeride missions when you have to run against the clock. Not to mention that it can spontaneously ignore pressed button just out of nowhere, which is very funny when you are trying to make a turn and realize mid-way that the game decided that you are going straight. The reason for this behaviour kind of seems obvious - the game registers button pressed/button released events without checking the state, but its such a stupid design decision. Is there a way to fix this garbage? Maybe the JS-front-end-macaques responsible for this mess will see this post and repent?

Buddy i just gonna say i dropped my classical run, in chapter 5, game story is solid gold, but f*** the person responsible for the driving system, cp2077 looks amazing if compared to mafia driving.

I have no problems with driving at all. Its same as in any other game, just older vehicles.

To be fair, I like car physics in this game. Mafia was always borderline car-sim and this one seems on par. But they have done something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the keyboard controls. Like it tries to limit your steering angle at speed to prevent you from loosing traction, but it feels like they have way overdone it.

Yup, story is fine, controls are absolutely some of the worst I have ever encountered. Normal third-person and shooting controls are already bad, but those driving controls are just rage-inducing. I played until that stupid race, but I think I'm done with this trash at this point. Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

The driving feels exactly how it should. It's to represent what it felt like driving cars from back then.

I refunded my purchase and got the game for 'free' because of the race. The game has a good story but these racing mission needs to be an optional thing, not a barrier to prevent the player from progressing through the story.

Car physics of this game are good imo.

If you want bad car physics play that Mad Max game.(I like that game, but I didn't find it's driving and vehicle combat that good)

Whoever came up with the race mission on classic difficulty should be smacked. That has to be hardest mission ever.
