Game crashes

So this is the first time im posting a question here on steam. My game crashes after the first chapter "An offer You cant refuse". game just closes and exit to desktop. I have a ryzen 5 2600 3060ti gpu with 32 gb ram.

First of all, i went to the game option>scroll to the bottom and disable launcher and disabled vsync and then close the game and went to the installation folder and disabled fullscreen optimazations on the launcher and the game exe. Lastly, verified the game and it worked!

try open Launcher in Mafia files, turn ON and OFF the launcher and then launch the game

try this: I opened Launcher app in that folder and found it is using the integrated graph as default, I changed is to my independent nvdia GPU and then it works

I just installed it, disabled launcher. Now I launched it from steam, the game is launched shows the bullet and hangar 13 logo, after that it asks to press ENTER and then it crashes. I have RTX 4060 and just installed this game today.

The way I've fixed mine, took me some time. I went into the launcher and went in the settings turned on Vync and turned off fullscreen with having the graphic settings set to optimal.

SOLVED (for me):

I had this exact same problem here are the steps that I took...

1. Go to the Mafia game files (D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Mafia Definitive Edition) or go to the game in your steam library, right click the game, go to manage, click "Browse Local Files"

2. I deleted the file titled "2k Launcher"

3. I launched the game from the .exe file titled "mafiadefinitiveedition.exe" and it loaded right up. This effectively skipped the launcher from opening.

Update: How to Prevent Game Crashes

When you open the game, immediately turn off your WiFi. The game will not crash. When you are ready to stop playing, turn your WiFi back on and then close the game. This ensures that your saves work correctly.

... regardless of all of this, the game is wonky ... driving is idiotic, combat is sloppy, and so much more ... why waste time even trying to get this turd to work?
