I drove on the riverside waltz just west from the church up and down until the cops lost me finally.
Again, this is on classic. I've seen vids of other people, but no way that's classic difficulty.
Will try your suggestion tintingaroo, and have the rest in mind.
I think I made a mistake in choosing classic, its more frustrating than fun so far.
Had to shoot off some cops (here Sam actually made use of himself) before venturing out to find a new car. Some of the heat disappeared while in the alleyway, but still ran into roadblocks and then I found a new alley/backyard to lay low in. Switched cars two more times, which took care of the "stars".
Thanks for the tips!
Haven't had major issues with Sam, but I am truly glad he doesn't die and makes me fail because that would just have made it downright impossible.
I had no idea there were more health in the bathroom. I'm picking up the health pack on the stairs behind the door left of the church entrance and I know there is another health pack in the hall that leads out into the street.
Honestly what I hate most about this is that I cannot even headshot (semiauto pistol) a police officer on the other side of the street, yet they are using rifles. Well that and the fact that if I clear the street so I actually have time to get into a car, it gives me max heat level which I guess makes it even harder to clear.
I will try the same suggestion because this is just ridiculous. I know the original game was hard at time, but this is just insane.
I mean, I can fancy a good challenge, but when the game throws in a mostly useless sidekick who gets you killed by his lack of urgency, I get enraged.
I tried to kill off some cops first too, but this is really counter-productive, you lose health, waste ammo (you have to go for head-shots ammo-wise and the aiming system is not very good) and it lands you more heat. I recommend shooting the cop by the car, and leave the rest.
Lost count on attempts, but certainly more than 5 or 6, probably +10; now is that fun?
A bit boring that I had to result to hiding close to the crime scene instead of racing out of there, but hey, it worked.
Exploit>chase.
Since, of course, that plays into it as well!
But good for you!
