You've had 20 years to prepare for it. No point in crying now.
This game's 3rd level (the race) is completely wrong. And don't forget that you're required to play a sublevel where you're supposed to mess the top racer's car the night before the race so you'd stand a chance. In 'classic' difficulty this is a huge let down.
But a bigger let down is 2K and Steam allowing anyone to cheat the game files and getting away with it. Possibly, only 0.2% of people owning this cheevo did it legit and are pretty good racers/ dedicated players. Everyone else, keep dreaming that they were 'Made Men'
Accepting that it's almost impossible to race like that makes one a far greater gamer/ 'man' than any cheater, liar and poser is ever going to be.
Look, I've completed every other level and aspect of this beautiful game on classic. Infiltrations, gunshots, hide and seek with 5-star police or even chases around town with Morello's ppl. The race is just there to spring the cheaters out.
I'm not reading this essay, but I guess you are calling me a cheater?
I finished the original game's race many times and just minutes ago finished this game on Classic mode and did the race legit. I was simply telling the guy to stop complaining and cheat if he is that bothered with it.
You got me all wrong and wrote a wall of text for no reason.
Just saying, sometimes it's best to understand the situation before jumping to conclusions.
If driving and racing are a "major" feature of the game, then why is there an option to skip "non-essential drives"?
If you're not able to look at something you enjoy, and admit the flaws in it, then you're just being biased and blind. Believe it or not, you can enjoy something and accept that it's not perfect!
"You've had 20 years to prepare for this" What do you think this is, real life? 20 years to prepare for what? It's a game bud lol
They knew people like you were going to complain on forums.
Mafia was ALWAYS a game that prioritized cars. 90% of the time you are driving, the car physics were very complex and intricate, there were many options about how the cars should behave on the menu and there was even a carcyclopedia. You could tell the developers were car fanatics.
You saying how cars and driving shouldn't be a major feature only shows your ignorance and makes it clear you didn't played the original.
Either get good or get out.
I only started playing it yesterday lol.
Great game though! Really enjoying the story line, almost about to finish it.
Have fun with your moaning.
Why because we used a controller for a race?
Not according to how the game *developers* tagged and described the game in the store description, bud. For reference, here are the tags they used:
Action
Open World
Story Rich
Crime
Classic
Nowhere did they use a racing tag or describe the game as such.
I don't care if the devs were car fanatics or not, that's not why I bought the game, simple. I never played the original, imagine that! Not everyone has played every game ever!
"get gud or get out" is a ♥♥♥♥ attitude to have. Keep pretending that this awfully designed level is good if that's what makes you happy, doesn't make you any less wrong
Here's a really big life lesson for you: just because you like something, doesn't mean it's perfect. Refusing to see the flaws in things you enjoy just makes you come off as ignorant
They're just the guys that like to make things needlessly difficult in a stupid way so they can gatekeep their hobby to feel good about themselves
inb4 another "git gud", I play on the hardest difficulty, there's a difference between organic difficulty and forced difficulty. This level ain't organic, it's not even the same genre as the rest of the game. It's like saying I Wanna Be The Guy's "difficult level design" is good game design
The core play mechanics are 20 years old lol
