is this game broken?

There used to be threads here saying the game now requires some kind of launcher or someething. Did they scrub that or is it still causing problems?

2K launcher is needet to run the game, Game itself is not broken in anyway.

Sadly, the game has just crashed for me in a way that I couldn't recover in any way, so I had to reset the computer, because even the Task Manager was unable to start. I haven't seen anything like this, though I've been using Windows since it's 3.0 days. :)

I bought the game yesterday with the discount and unfortunately when it goes to start it stops! The company 2K must definitely solve the problem! I have Windows 7 64bit.

Unless you have use guide to make it work in windows 7 then that is the problem because it would normally only work in win 10.

Try launching the game from the Mafia 1 exe file from the installation directory, worked for me. The 2k launcher was also eating up my CPU cycles pretty bad, was glad to get rid of it.

Forgot to mention, I got this game on epic store, do not have it on steam.

game requires windows 10 64 bit

if you have windows 7/8 just do a free upgrade to windows 10

the launcher made the game stutter a lot they may have fixed it

Yeah, I also had the game stuttering and not launching but then I updated my graphics driver and everything runs smoothly now.

i only get black screen and it says no signal detected when i play for 10min so nice
