truck chase in classic difficulty

legit nothing i can do. the truck loses ALL of its health within 10 seconds, literally. and each cop is taking about 20 bullets each to kill

You can do it. I did it. You can do it. It's not easy. Aim at the head and don't hesitate to spray. After some attempts (and some luck) you will pull it off.

What truck chase? do you mean the one from "A trip to the country" ? the one where you are supposed to take out a police riot truck/van? there are tips and guides how you are supposed to do it....

This is the hardest part of the game. Don´t give up. You will do it. Just aim for the head, ignore cops shooting from cars and aim for their driver. Armored truck turret is bulletsponge so just aim and spray the turret - not the cops inside. Do not worry about your health so much. Truck health will be depleted sooner than yours so balance the shooting with sacrefice of some health.There is plenty of checkpoints so even little steps will do it.

but if i keep my head up for too long I get shot myself, i start the checkpoint with only about 5% health

All I'm DOING is aiming for the drivers, but they take a ridiculous amount of bullets, im even getting the hitmarker for them, and it doesnt help that my health transfers from the previous shootout, where you protect Sam, I ended that with like 5% health so i really dont have enough to do it

I've attempted this over 500 times, and quite a while ago, I lowered it to the "easy" skill level with max-assisted aiming. And I'm still getting my ass kicked. This reminds me of the racing level in the original, except in that case, I always felt like I would pass it eventually. This is kind of feeling impossible, so any specific tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Duck while truck shoots, shoot while truck reloads, don't aim just keep shooting turret until it starts to shoot and reload. If you don't have enough health then try to replay mission until you have more.

Done with with classic difficulty with no aim assist.
