Voice Acting Awful!
I am annoyed by changing Tommy but can deal with that... but everyone sounds so fake!

HORRIBLE accents... I cannot stand Paulie especially, sounds like he's pinching his nose too. I have seen about every mob movie ever made and played all Mafia games in the franchise and never heard such terrible voice acting.

The first car chase scene there are super over the top fake sound effects when cars crash (the first car that goes off the road, you hear that 20 year old "ahhh!" sound effect that has been used 1,000,000 times? And what the hell is with the quicktime event getaway driving?! I try to take a hard turn to lose these guys and the QT event takes over and I do some completely unrealistic maneuver and don't even get to maintain control of the vehicle?

I also agree with a lot of the comments that the graphics look poor and very outdated... I have all settings as high as they'll go and am completely underwhelmed.

I have only played one hour and am going to give it as much of a chance as I am able with the two hour refund timer... but so far, I really cannot stand the voice acting across the board!

The reason is they wanted to have kids as audience, and kids like the supper hero / bad man way of talking like the comics.

Sounds ridiculous. + the dialogue was mostly the same for original.

True, for the regular triple A game as it is, but not for the remake of best game of History.
Before witcher 3 most creditable reviewers know Mafia as the best, now mostly know this title fir The Witcher 3.

So even in remake they should have just talk plain old English and not try to have Italian accent despite being from Italia, like most of the people come from Sicily. Also i don't remember any reviewer comparing Witcher 3 to mafia.

NO, you just too young to understand it,
The Taxi driver is not won't start to talk like a hitman when he signed for the 1930 mafia.

True he won't start as a hitman but as a driver but we are talking about how he is speaking, not what hes role is in mafia. Are you suggesting that he should switch from Italian accent to English accent when he join mafia or other way around? Or just have English all the way and forget hes heritage? Or just because he haven in america so long that he should no longer have Italian accent but people still see him as one?

Or is that all hitmans talk like Italians or Americans?

Paulie and the "irish" cop/detective bothered me the most. Tommy's was bad compared to the original but wasn't horrible taken alone.

Oh yeah. That Irish cop voice sounds like some producer off to the side said, "Yeah, I know you are an Irish actor, but could you try to make it sound more...Irish?"

The one that bothers me most is Don Salieri. A lot of folks praise his acting, but to me he sounds completely bored. Also, he has the least amount of "fake Italian" inflection, which makes his flat delivery stand out even more against the stereotypical sound of practically everyone else.

Paulie's voice [and face] bothered me until about mid-way through. Somehow, the character seemed to grow on me, as he was supposed to be an annoying underling weasel/gunsel who knew Tommy and Sam were better mafioso then he.
That Shrek mug and squeaky rat-boy voice make sense in that context.

accent wouldn't my concern if i was developer, sure as Salieri it self is purely Napolitano, but the rest i would stick to the original as the respect, Paulie and Vincenso had a most italian accent so i would keep tham that way, the rest are just Americans little here and there having accent was fine and keep the original choices for a respect would be great.

Agree
And it seems here they do nothing about the problems but banning/deleting best complaints
