story was to short?
idk why they made this game and yet after the game is done, what then? add more stuff along with open world family's, its 2020.. give us more missions, side jobs, buy buildings, cars, housing, run a family, take out another family, trades, give us something more, then having us pay for a short story.

It's perfect length. This isn't your average open world game full of side missions, houses, etc etc.

nah to me it was to short, we are in 2020 and if u look at other games, its more open and lot of missions to.. look at the godfather, its open world, run familys run biz and etc.. sure it lacks on other things after, but that why 2K needs to step up and add new online play then just single player mode

But that's not what Mafia is about...
These are story focused linear games. I recommend you stick to The Godfather games if you're looking for an open world crime game.

This is not GTA, nor it is an online experience. If you want to do all that sandbox stuff then go play Mafia 3 or one of many samey Ubisoft titles.

Think this game is more of a nostalgia thing for us that loved and cherished the original release from 2002. I remember that game was jaw dropping for its time. Few games looked that good and had a physics engine like that.

Yes its 2020 and almost all open world games have too much extra content side missions that are waste of time.
The game is fine as is.

In fact, it's great as is. This year is packed with the usual oversaturated open world games so it's good that we at least have something else.

I beat the game within eight hours. It's an average length, nothing too shabby.

Just because most of the games this day and age are open world dosen't mean every game should be. Sometimes having a bit smaller game like this is more welcome then having another open world game.

I myself am happy they did not pack this remake with too much extra content and that its still similar length for original.

They removed a lot of bits from the original that made the game feel more alive and open. In this they're replaced with cut scenes. Its quite annoying really. Playing this after playing the original quite a few times you can see quite clearly how the narrative in games these days has taken a nose dive. Here we don't want you to do it, so we'll show you it instead. Every chapter lasts about 10 minutes. Its pacing just feels off. Like its rushing you through it.

The narrative is far more developed in this one but some chapters feel over quicker because the mechanics easier and more user-friendly. I think some of the shorter ones could've done with more depth and maybe new content but the devs kept their word of sticking exclusively to the original for the gameplay framework.

Other chapters are longer though and it irons out to be about 12 hours on average for classic which is spot-on for a linear game like this. Early on though it does feel like you're sailing through the game way too quick with simple missions but then bigger and better missions do come.

While I was playing the mission - the chapter seemd a bit too short, but now that I have finished the game - the length is ok for me. 11 hours total on Classic.

i mean not like that, i thought they would think about it not saying it should but should be a OPEN to chat about.. i like the idea and yes the game is great never said its not

but i thought over the years they would listen to fans base and get more ideas then short missions.. not saying it is, but to me i'm use to never end missions and get to do more then buying DLC type

understand on what i mean by it... yes godfather was the best and i thought it was compare to that to the mafia but i enjoy the games that they made but just lacking lot of stuff. the race, was great.. and ending was kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up haha... but still they could allow a online mode where u can make ur family and run it with others.. would that be nice?

No because that's not the point of the game.
