Gaming laptop CPU overheating, anyone else?
Specs:
Laptop model: Dell G5 5590
i7 9750h (6 core, 12 thread) @ 4ghz
RTX 2060
32gb DDR4 2666mhz
2tb NVME SSD
Windows 10 x64

No other game makes my CPU go above 80C, but I've hit 100C and had the frames drop down to single digits 'til it cools back down. Happening to anyone else?

You have a better processor than mine, the game went really well with me and the fans were not even at top speed, personally I must say that the optimization is very good in this game

What settings are you running, out of curiosity? I'm in 1080p with geometry on high, everything else on medium/low with motion blur off
I have the game on the highest possible graphic settings at 1080p resolution, but I have to say that recently I have been cleaning my laptop with the replacement of thermally conductive paste with a very good quality paste, the factory paste is bad, additionally I did undervolting, maybe that is why I have better results.
If your processor doesn't have such a high temperature in other games, I have no idea what it might be causing, I can only say that it was fine on my laptop.

I've got my CPU undervolted by -1.4mv core and cache, but I'm actually looking to repaste it tomorrow with some Thermal Grizzly. I hope that fixes it, 'cause if you're running it maxed out with effectively the same specs with no issues, I might have a problem Dell has to deal with if repasting doesn't fix it. What kind of framerate are you looking at? RTX 2060 laptop is basically a 1070, I imagine we should be similar but I'm getting like 40-50 with my settings
70-80fps(A quick ride, around the salieris bar, free ride) Especially now I checked how much fps I have, your laptop must suffer from thermal throttling, or something else is wrong, your results are really bad. I use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
