Forced switch to Baseball Bat after entering cover

Anyone else had this issue? I want to get into cover using my guns, obviously, but every time I enter cover it switches me to the baseball bat.

have you changed the hotkey to C? because I've changed crouch hotkey to C instead of X and every time I'm pressing C to crouch it switches to melee weapon
