I feel you bro, I can take the local ini modification, but require a 3rd party app for this? I refuse 2k need to address this ASAP.
I extracted files from x64 folder to the main folder with the game and did tweaks with ini file like op said
I went from 70-80 fps to 100-120 fps and from all settings to medium low to everything on high except Shadow turned to Medium. Thank you so much, it really works!
A much simpler fix with no downloads required.
this thing that joker is talking about working to unleash fps limit, but has nothing about display refresh rate. he also offering alternative version where you have to download some reshade build that doing pretty much the same as mine fix
So then why does Gsync work for me now and also the games animations run higher than 60fps, because the fix Joker mentions lifts the 60hz lock.
You are aware of the following right? With vsync off, when a screen is set to 60hz or physically cant do more than 60hz, the game if the rig is good enough will produce more frames than 60fps and just go as high as it can? Your eyes just won't benefit from the extra fps in regards to animation. Which is what was happening to him and also myself. Msi after burner stating game is at at 90fps but sure didn't feel it until I did his work around.
There's nothing wrong with your fix but I thought I'd throw a more simple one out there for those who either don't want to do download extra things for a game to work or lines of code may be a bit difficult. If the simple one I suggested doesn't help them, they can give your one a try, but if it does, it's a fair few steps.
thanks for such deep explanation of your mind. I'm aware for all of these things related to fps and hz.
1. joker said in video that 'disable fullscreen optimizations' helps him, this part is helping only with fps limit, there is still 60hz lock ingame. at least for me
2. he provided alternate fix under his video in description that leads to single dll specify for mafia game.
3. solution in this thread might help in any game, it is not made for mafia engine only.
I agree with you for 100% that such titles especially AAA games should do this on regular basis and do not release game with so lame issues that they even encountered in previous their games. the only reason why I found this is just because of my extreme urge to play this game.
cheers bro
