Will Mafia 1 Remake get the same graphic engine as Mafia 3?
Just trying to verifiy this. I've read somewhere in the www about this, and this would ruin the whole concept of a game at once. Everybody who played Mafia 3 knows, that the engine is one of the worst ever created. Felt like the dev team neither had time nor budget to create a stable, detailled and performant engine, so they chose to scavenge trash together and pour tons of anti-aliasing and shader/ blur over it. So it might look nice on the first look.

Upgraded version of Mafia 3's engine, which was itself an upgraded version of Mafia 2's engine.

Yeah, people just think Mafia 1 having the same engine as Mafia 3 it will be "buggy" and "unstabble". But do they forget that the engine can be upgraded/fixed?

They forget and/or ignore so many things...

i hope they fixed the mirrors lol as mafia 3 still has broken mirrors years after release.

Mafia 3 engine is not the issue it was that 4c/4t CPU and under didn't do so well and was lock to 4c/8t. i7 was only way play good 60+fps at time release if you had good GPU to back it up.

That's not 100% correct. It WAS the engine's fault, there is no doubt about it. It was weak and ugly in its core, but because of the over-used additional effects of AA (bc the devs wanted to whitewash the non-existant details), it became so over-demanding for the GPU. That's the simple reason. There is a breakdown of this topic somewhere on the www (I read it at the time the original Mafia 3 had been released, can't find it anymore).
I do have a i7 (3770K) and it still crashed and ran like sht on 60 fps back then. There was a temporary fix by limiting the fps to 59 by your gpu app at that time, which helped a bit though. Maybe there is a connection between gpu and cpu, which makes sense indeed. But the main reason of its bad performance was definitely the gpu demand.
