Free roam?

Just thought I'd check - having played the original, I was always a bit put out by the lack of the proper, unrestricted free-roam. Is there full free roam in this now, or is it still restricted to the Chapters as in the first game?

I remember the main story just ends when you complete the game. They added a DLC that let you free roam after you finished everything to do.

Which one, can you tell me? Or it is a mod? 'Cause I know that the biggest mods (among some others) for Mafia II is to give the full ability to a "proper" free roam...

Jimmy's Adventures and Joe's Adventures, those DLC lets you free roam after completion.

After completing Chapter 15 you still can't free roam like in the classic

Mafia is not a sandbox game. People often mistake Mafia with a GTA clone in a different time period. Mafia is a linear story driven game. The open world exist for the sake of immersion, driving to locations and chases... Not to screw around.

Free Roam mod works but it does mess up the graphical settings menu.

Good point. That's why there is no collectible finder upgrade for the minimap
