wait, is that how they avoid clipping with the hat? by swapping out a scaled down top of his head?

HAHA the 2nd image - that happened for me in one of the mid-to-late chapters of the game. It went away in later cut scenes in the same or later chapters. Must happen for everyone unless it is random throughout the game for anyone.
