Is there away to transfer the achievements from mafia 2 (classic) to definitive edition?

I always wonder what achievement hounds are thinking when they do the thing to get the achievement but the achievement doesn't unlock. You achieved the achievement. Does it really matter so much the acknowledgement? I mean, you know you did it. What does a blurb on a website add to the accomplishment?

This achievement thing started when Xbox 360 launched. Before that gaming was all about having fun and enjoying each game for its story, atmosphere and gameplayability. But then this all changed when Microsoft created the so called gamescore. Every platform followed this achievement trend. Since then gaming has become a competition where everyone try to 100% beat as many game as they can not to have fun but to get the achievements to showoff to their friends and the world.

Not at all.
The idea for Game Achievements can be traced back to 1982, with Activision's patches for high scores, then Nintendo Power, then EQ, WoW and the list goes on.
Your idea of Achievements is also one-sided and distorted at best: most achievements hunters enjoy games WAY more because of the challenge cheevos represent and have more hours in those games then other players do while also sporting way fewer incomplete/abandoned games in their profiles.

Achievements give additional value and identity to games, bringing gamers to discover secrets and easter eggs and to actually master top difficulty modes.
"You can be an hardcore gamer without being an achievement hunter but you can't be an achievement hunter without being an hardcore gamer."

on what planet does achieving more in the game not equate to experiencing more of the game. People who only play the game for "gameplay" like the guy above usually dont pay attention to things like enviroment, interaction, and soundtrack in which those who spend copious amounts of time getting those achievements experience more. In addition they may be forced to explore off path locations and easter eggs from those achievements, you could argue that if the story or gameplay doesnt take you there anyway then whats the point but there is more to a game than just the story and gameplay.

I'm not a fan of achievements per se. I play the game to explore it fully by default, and achievements most of the time don't relate to that.

Example? No achievement to win all DLC missions on S rank
No achievement to kill 0 cops (outside of the robbery mission where they are labeled as enemies) or 0 civilians in the entire playthrough.
No achievement to buy all the clothes
No achievement to drive every single car.

Right now i am playing "detroit become human" and i'm about 5 hours short of unlocking everything within the game (extras, flowcharts) with my 170 hours played, yet if you go "100% achievements" you can do it in 30 hours or so.

That being said, everyone will play as they want, which is good, but having "100% achievemwnt completion" does not equal 100% completing the game. Therefore steam saying "perfect game" can be far from the truth.

Regarding the question OP asked, you can use SAM and unlock what you've gotten. I unlocked "There can be only one" in Shogun 2, since it's either bugged forever or the leaderboards do not work properly. And i think i will use them in Attila total war too, for those 5 bugged ones too, once i "meet the requirements".
