Mafia 2 DLCs are literally crap!.

I've played the whole game and I'd like it very much. Vito Scaletta has much more rage than Tommy Angelo in the first game. It's more character focused than the first game of the series, but it was a nice experience after all.

So, I prepared today to give it a try to the DLCs. Looked like fun to explore other characters and life paths in the game. Right?... Oh my I was wrong!. This content is crap!. Who the hell did this attack on good taste in this game?. The only excuse you can give is that this content is free of change (and I see why).

It has the main attention diversion a game might have: A timer. We'll put a timer to everything so that the player cannot think how crappy this "extra" content is, while we force him to rush against the clock all the time and repeat the same thing over and over and over again to a point where Mafia 3 mission thugs in different hoods seem to be fresh idea (not repetitive at all). Up to that point!.

Stay away of this sh*t and keep the memories of the original game. Believe me. Do not waste your time on this DLCs, play other games instead. You'll thank me later.

Agree. Also, they were not free on the original game. Imagine my surprise when I bought them back in the day...

I only played Joe's adventures which I think is really interesting, however I would prefer it if they added this in the main game right after Vito goes to jail . Playing it after finishing the game feels kinda off since it is taking place parallel to the events happening in the main campaign. I just wish that somebody would have told me to play the DLC during that time in the main campaign.

Another thing I didn't like is that there is no progress and that you can also do them in any order you want again and again. So in a way you gotta take the pieces and try to put them together to figure out something about extra lore. I did enjoy the main game though, which is why I am gonna give a positive review. It's nice to have extra content for free but for people who liked the story and are fans of the game it can be disappointing.

I've played them all. And they're all the same. It's true that Joe's DLC has exactly 4 missions that have the same pace as the base game. They're very enjoyable. True. But the number is so low. One at the beginning (that also has timed sequences in some parts), one with an Italian partner after 5 or 6 missions like Jimmy's DLC. And nothing else until the last 2 missions. Very poor. Some missions are very frustrating. You fail them and you have to waste your time to go to the spot again, listen to the same cinematic... again and pray to avoid failing. So frustrating as I said. Many random events in the world may force you to reboot the sequence. So, you have to be lucky sometimes... Bah, no use.

It does not worth your time. And they also didn't learn the lesson in Mafia 3. At least they did something competent with the DLCs there.

The Jimmy dlc is basically cut open world content from the base game. It's completely forgettable.

These are probably the worst DLCs I've ever played in my whole life. Nothing is well done here and I feel everything painfull and desperate just because I want these insane achievements and leave this game for the rest of my days. Main campaign is awesome indeed but this... I though collect more than 200 wanted posters was disgusting, but nothing compare with this extra content...
