Just tested what running this game is like on a slow HDD. Oh dear it's not a fun time. The map collision is tied to the map chunks, so if something hasn't loaded, you'll fall through it.
They don't even have a safety measure for it like GTA does, if you fall, you're stuck falling until you restart the checkpoint, it won't reset you.
It's god awful though, that's for sure.
Worth a try, my system though can literally brute froce through bad oprimization becasue I have so much overhead so my game runs pretty much flawless.
It's not an issue of brute force. Even with a 2080 and a 8700k there is suttering while driving at 1080p
You need even more overhead, on my i9 10900k and rtx 2080ti I get perfect 60FPS 16.6ms at all times at 4K (+4msaa) all maxed out. If you want proof I would gladly record a video of it, just let me know.
