Is it me or is this game short?
I really liked the story and the voice actor and I thought they could of done more after the last mission. I didn't even see the final mission coming because alot of the missions were quite serious. They should of just used Vito again in Mafia 3 at least.

It is a short game - probably 11-13 hours for most people on the hardest difficulty but that time is of the highest quality I found as the semi-linear approach and focus on story keeps players engaged from start to finish. It was designed by choice this way.

I prefer this than having a sandbox-type format of icon chasing and content padding - just look at the state of Mafia 3 when they went in this direction. It would have been nice to have a few more missions and the latter stages of the game may seem a bit rushed but its one that doesn't overstay its welcome or has lousy extra content to string it out further.

The DLC is weak but it does add on another 12-15 hours thankfully and offers some fairly enjoyable missions to really maximise the city.

This game is actually fairly long for a not-rpg story game. It may just feel shorter to you because there isn't much padding (the only side-activities are collectables for example)

I dont think its short by today standards. A 6h campaign its short.

It's a linear story set in an open world city. They tried adding more content with DLC. But this is still just a texture pack for a 10 year old game.

This is the story I'd rather they remake instead of Mafia 1.

It's long by the standard of a linear story game, but the setting is open-world, so I think that mixes people's expectations up a little.

People are probably expecting GTA and what they get is probably a bit closer to The Getaway

I suppose it's better than having a open world like Assassins Creed with pointless fetch quests
