I already played this game many years ago, now I bought definitive version and want to replay the game but cant remember how hard it was, I'm considering playing it on hard, but how hard is hard?

I finished the base game and all the DLC on hard and it's a perfectly manageable - you just have to use cover wisely and try not to rush it.

Not too bad, you can still die from 2-3 bullets so you have to use cover, cause in the open you will get killed fast, especially mission where you are without a gun to defend yourself and all you have to do is run away, it will take some luck cause on hard they rip you appart quick. It's not a huge difference between easy and hard like lets say Call of duty 4 recruit - veteran difference.

Hm, alright. I guess I'll go with hard.

The main campaign is still pretty easy on Hard, except the last two chapters, which are only moderately hard and might require a few retries. The DLC though is much harder, especially Jimmy's Vendetta, that's where Hard becomes real hard.

I'm not THAT great in action games and I haven't played DLC-s, do you still think hard is okay to go with?

For the main story yeah, you'll just have to play careful in the last two chapters and use cover a lot but there are lots of checkpoints so it's not too bad. You're basically made of glass on Hard and will die instantly if an enemy shoots you close to you, but so are the enemies so you can gun down everyone very easily. Just don't play the DLC on Hard if you don't think you're good enough, Medium or Easy will do.

Oh well, since I already finished the game on medium (and I don't remember it being hard) I'll go with the hard difficulty. yolo

bots do a lot of damage but are very slow to shoot and have really bad aim so hard is not that hard actually

nah your thinking of normal difficulty because i kept getting sniped with 3 bullets and dying. hard must be like 1 shot and your dead.

Joe's adventure DLC has some pretty difficult missions on medium, can't imagine on hard..

I didn't find it too bad in the end although the main missions can be tricky. You just have to use the cover well and learn how the AI works to stay on top of it. The time pressure in this DLC is definitely harder than the other two expansions though.

Games difficulty doesn't really come form increased damage from harder settings , but from fact that the game doesn't have blind firing . Main story's built with this limitation in mind, but the DLC adventures get really, REALLY annoying because of this - sure, lack of blind firing may not sound like big thing, but moment some SMG enemy manages to flank you, or you inevitably get to situation where there's bunch of enemies before you, and bunch of cops with lisence to kill coming from behind you (Especially since at least in Joes Adventures cops have Oblivion senses - kill 4 gangsters in deserted island while everuone's asleep, deaf and blindfolded, they know it was you. ) , and you relaise why every other cover shooter has blind firing....
