The manual settings show the same resolution you set up, and even disabling "auto resolution" doens't fix the problem.
For now it's the only issue I found in the game, a bit annoying but not game breaking.
Have you been able to disable the launcher? That setting is also not saved.
The launcher is a bit messy.
If you manually change the settings in the document folder, make sure to put it in "read only", that way the launcher will not override it.
Thanks
that pisses me off any fix for that?
Not currently, game seems to be locked at 1080p. Lets hope this gets fixed.
If you change after booting up the game, in the options inside the game, you can use custom resolutions. But they will resets at every boot.
I can select the 4k resolution, but its running at 1080p, even the steam overlay shows its not at 4k
I went to the option in the game, put it to 1800p, and the game renders in 1800p.
When I exit it and boot it again, it resets to 1080p, but if I go in the options and put it back to 1800p, it will render in 1800p.
Don't use the launcher to set up graphic options, use the ingame settings.
1800p resolution on a 1080p monitor.
I notice it is actually rendering in 1800p because it has much less aliasing that in 1080p rendering.
Nope, when I quit the game to desktop, wheni I fire it up again it reverts back to 1080p.
But then again, ingame, you can go to the option menu and set it up as you like.
Mine goes up to 2160p, and it works, since the average framerate drops from 75 to 60.
Don't use the launcher to change option, use the ingame option menu.
Probably it's a confict generated by the launcer, that reverts the resolution to the standard one everytime you launch the game. But then, you just go to Options>Video, and chanhge the resolution again before playing.
This will have to do untill the problem is solved.
Probably it went unseen because not many people actually use downsampling, and the devs have only tested with native resolution monitors.
On my computer the game started by default in 800x600 resolution despite the 1920x1080 setting in the launcher. This resulted in a super small game screen.
I changed my screen resolution to the lowest (in my case 800x600) and started the game. The whole screen is clearly visible. I switched to the game options in the main menu and then go to the video settings. Setting 'window mode' in the 'borderless' position makes it impossible to change the resolution and here is the problem. Change the 'window mode' setting to 'fullscreen'. Now you can change the resolution. Save Changes. Minimize or close the game and restore the correct screen resolution. Problem solved. Give rep+ in my profile if that way has helped you as well :)
Already using fullscreen mode, since the AMD solution for downsampling doesn't work good in borderless window. The problem still remains, since every time I boot up the game it reverts back to 1080p. I always have to remember putting it back to the upper resolution I want.
I don't have a second monitor plugged in.
