Window size problems
Ok, when I start the game it tells me that it cannot open an app but does not tell me what the app is. I think it's asking about the VR app but the page in Steam says the game has a no VR mode. I do not have VR equipment.

In the meantime, the game starts up in the background so I close the error window and try to play the game. This is where the frustration really begins.

Once the game is running the top 1/4 of the screen is missing. You can't click on the character icons that are up there since they are gone. There are no graphics settings in the "settings" menu so you can adjust screen size/resolution/quality. Nothing. If you could select to play the game in a fullscreen window that would solve the problem... but you can't.

The next issue is, if you click on the "controls" button the bottom 1/3 of the screen is missing. The "back" button is down there but since you can't click on it you're stuck in this screen. You have to go into task manager and tell it to end the task to get out of the game.

I spent 38 minutes of play time trying to find a solution to all of this in game but couldn't. I spent another hour creating a non-steam icon to run the game so I could customize how I want the game to run. I was hoping to be able to either give it my monitors resolution or to run in a normal window. That failed as well.

In the meantime, I've refunded the game. I'm still interested in playing but will wait until I hear that issues such as this are resolved. At that point I'll purchase the game again.

Hi there! Sorry to hear this happened to you. We've tried to replicate your screen issues and are failing to do so on a range of PC setups, which makes us think there is something specific to your setup. As you've now refunded there isn't any way to get to your logs, but we were wondering if you could share your machine specification, monitor sizes/resolution and setup. Also were you able to take any screenshots of the 1/4 and 1/3 of the screen missing? We'd be keen to see what that looks like too. If you could help that'd be awesome.

Well for me it looks like an easy answer, he is playing the game in VR format even if he tries to play it on Desktop format, it fits the description.

Hi there! We've just pushed out an update that should fix these problems.
Ronawyn Feb 6, 2022 @ 8:07am
I am having the same issue, I click to play in regular screen play however the VR is starting automatically and I am unable to change it. I don't have the VR open it just auto opens when I try to launch the game in normal screen.

Hi again. We've looked into this and think it may have something to do with your launch options for the game. We've posted instructions on how to fix the issue.

Let us know if this sorts out the problem for you.

HI there,

Non VR player too, and I also have an issue with the screen resolution, where the top and bottom are missing. No error related to VR that would be trying to run though (or any other error for that matter)
I followed the instructions at https://steamcommunity.com/app/1030310/discussions/0/3182359152707154053/ but it didn't solve the problem.
My screen size is 3440x1440

Same issue for me trying to play in ultra-wide.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I'm away from my monitor for the end of year holidays, but I'll test when I can and let you know if it solves it.
