Not abandoned. You just dont understand how long games actually take to make especially for a tiny team
But,,, what about all the times that guy (who isn't even on the team anymore?) keeps repeating that the game is still shaping up?!?!

I think its more telling when you make millions of dollars but you cant hire 5 or 6 more staff to get your game into consumers hands in a decent timeframe

Well i think its privilege to expect a company to change to force a game out in a specific timeframe. Neither opinion matters in the end. It is what it is.

soon to be 7 years. safe to assume its either dead or never comeing out in a good state. there is this thing called OVERDEVELOPMENT. it happend to a bunch of games in the past. so even if it comes out one day it wont be good at all. no game goes on such a long wait period and then comes out as a good product anymore in the end. but the bois will keep believeing just like there is still bois believeing that tes 6 will be a good game.

Link the post cause i have seen nothing on their official channels. They don't even have discord for Hollow Knight, nor the company.

HK is one of the largest Metroidvanias in history especially once you add in the DLC, with like 35 unique bosses and even more if you count their souped up versions.

Being like "Damn these other Metroidvanias only took at most a few years to make" is kinda ridiculous when many of them you can 100% the games in at most like 5-6 hours and that's with a casual first time play through.

I just beat Ender Magnolia completing all content in about 25 hours and that is one of the longer ones, this game likely will take a lot more than that. I would love to see someone 100% HK and all the DLC in less than 40 hours on a casual 1st time play through.

Other companies also have more people, if you compare this to something like Castlevania that was being backed by a large company in Konami. 3 people means it's a lot more work and time than if you have a team of 25 developers.
