Hollow Knight needs a randomized mode
I love Hollow Knight and am super excited for SilkSong, but I feel like after some time, the game can be boring unless you're trying to speedrun.

So then I thought about how much more replay-ability there would be if there was a randomized mode. Where everything was placed in Randomized ways, instead of always the same map layout every game. Don't ask me how it would work cause I don't know lol.

It would make each playthrough extra unique though, and would would make exploration essential in every playthrough, rather than just the first couple until you start to memorize the map.

Does anyone else think Hollow Knight and silkson would benefit from a randomized map mode?

There are a few randomizer mods for the original game. I haven't used them but I have seen some videos, they look pretty difficult.

I didn't know that. I'll have to look into those, Thanks! but I hope Team cherry will do something of there own, so it's balanced in a similar way to the rest of the game

Please no. We don't want them to turn Hollow knight into another cheap roguelike.

Hollow Knight has an active modding community and they have the entire modding setup done so well that all you basically need to do is to download a community made mod manager called Scarab. It has the randomizer mod (+ million add-ons for it) and other mods already there. All you have to do is click on the mod you want and it will also install any framework mods automatically the mod needs to run.

Personal suggestion: Use benchwarp together with randomizer as it is easy to "softlock" yourself.

Mod managers are honestly a pain in the butt to deal with on the SteamDeck. I'll look into the scarab one, thanks!
