Act 3 feeling heavily underpowered
is there something im missing? i have nail lvl 3, but all void-touched mobs require between 5-7 hits to die, does it get better? do i need to look for something that kinda evens out the ground?

One of the reasons I stopped playing before this Act (but beat the game normally) is precisely because this was the common refrain I heard from both people who are critical of the game and people who enjoy it. It seems like everything after normal ending is ramped up to maximum BS levels to really skill test the players that want to be mega challenged.

So no, you're probably at exactly the power level you should be, which is feeling constantly outgunned.
Better actually start using your tools and abilities, they give you those for a reason

yeah i think i will stop here for now. act 3 is not providing any fun at all for me, it feels like im playing ng+7 without the required progression.

This is such a cold take. Everyone is using the tools they just suck or are mega cheese. You aren't special, the game is cheeks.
I reckon you're still missing one nail upgrade.
The nail upgrade you are missing probably has a courier quest attached. It was hell in Act 2, can't image what its like in Act 3.

And "just use tools" is such a BS take. This game is so damn stingy with shards it should be clear as day why people can't rely on them.
I don't think they're hard, but I think those skills they use are pretty BS and boring

I'd rather they have NKG spikes, or other slightly cooler skills than void blade shower on every single mob
+5 nail upgrade is available in act 3, as well as all the masks, spool fragments and hearts. I priorized getting all upgrades before the hardest bosses or exploration and didn't have any trouble after that, only Karmelita and Lost Lace took me the most time.
if you got the quest from the fleamaster, go to fleatopia and do all the stuff there for the final needle upgrade, helps a bit.

omg I'm on Karmelita right now, ♥♥♥♥ that boss. She's animated at like half the frame rate and is hard to follow for me.
If you kill the the corpse piles in a zone then the void enemies will all go back to normal next time you pass through, they can still get possessed but you can, for example, one shot red ants with all the needle upgrades.

After like 8 tries I think I simply stopped playing careless and started playing more methodically. I observed the patterns and timed my punish hits. I loved when you learn how to counter her is like a dance and you are faster than her.

The thing is, you can always come back to the game later if you find your opinion changes after not touching it for a bit, and then you have more game to play. Or, if your opinion holds you can always just say "yeah, I beat Silksong" and it's true, you rolled credits. So you can feel accomplished about that feat.
there are 3 total pale oils, so you can get a stronger nail. Additionally, during act 3 you get a way to make the void enemies not drain silk anymore which makes them much less tedious to fight.

That being said, for act 3 I mostly dodged overworld combat since I had explored pretty much all the zones. I dodged what i could and fought very carefully when I had to.

I think the enemies are supposed to feel really oppressive thematically, but most of the mandatory fights are vs bosses or uncorrupted enemies.
