This is fun, this is great, there is community here, not just on steam, but discord, reddit, twitter.
The fact that a game that hasn't had news in 5 years and still isn't out yet has such a wonderful community is amazing.
People are lovely, you're just a taaad bit negative my friend <3
If you're going to throw a tantrum in your own house unplug the keyboard next time.
just think that after 4 years of DELAY they allowed themselves to say "happy Valentine's Day" a few days ago
after having disappeared for 4 years, they return without a period of release of the game and even allow themselves to write sentences like a box of chocolates. 🤡🤡🤡🤡
(I've seen poor developers accused of death threats for much less)
in the meantime they pretend to be the superstars first in 2019 from Nintendo Indie World and then from Microsoft the other indie teams work; moon studios will soon be coming out with the second game in 5 years, studio mdhr has developed cuphead + the dlc... and there could be many more examples of indie excellence.
they have proven to be liars and announce false dates, active only in selling puppets and t-shirts.
remove it from the wish list and don't buy it, there's no point arguing with fanboys blind to the evidence, who continue to support a team that in 5 years has only produced a 30 sec trailer.
A community is not something you should take as guaranteed. If you want a good following on a game you have to nurture that community, make sure they are involved. Team Cherry hasn't done that in any way.
I still like they're games, but I don't think they deserve the following they have, considering how much they neglect their fanbase. What they've demonstrated very well so far is that they don't give two sh*ts about their fans.
Some games thrive without a community, but at least their devs don't preach about it or entice the community to stay hyped.
I love Hollow Knight and want the sequel too but this entitlement and delusion that you’re owed….anything…at all…. Is insane and disturbing.
while they write in a steam sub, page 10, about a vaporwave game from a team that has been missing for years 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
There's also probably a ton of people like me who are barely or just not active here, couldn't give a crap about being updated on the state of the game and will buy it whenever it does comes out because HK was awesome and we want more of it. I've got a massive backlog of games. I'm fine with waiting another 5 years...
There's also a ton of salty loud mouths too. The people who sound off like they're entitled to anything other than a functional product in the end, who were always going to buy the game despite their cries of anger, who will second guess buying the game on steam because people will see a gamepad next to a hypocrites name.
The first sale after release is the devs throwing a bone to the kids who ran away from home for 10 until they smelled brownies.
