So... Leth said that there wont be physical release on Day 1. As the result, they dont care about ESRB. Digital games are rated using a process developed by IARC. ESRB rating takes some time - 2-6 months, but IARC can be given within few minutes. It is hapening automatically without any reviewers.

Developers want to be flexible, theoretically, they can release the game even tomorrow (shadow drop).

In any case, I urge you to stop torturing yourself and waiting for the game to come out every day. We cannot influence this process in any way.

That's odd. I know steam doesn't require esrb ratings but I thought all the major consoles did require it for their online storefronts.
