“I’m A N G E R Y and want an update”
“Leave Britany (team cherry) alone!!!!!”
Everything else is a variation of these two posts.
2019 was amazing. 2022 was AWESOME seeing the new trailer. It is 2025 in 12 weeks time. 2025. 3 years between the 2019 to 2022, 3 years from 2022 in 12 weeks. .................................................................................................................................................................................................. World War 2 took less time.
That is not true. Even Team Cherry confirmed to Xbox in 2022 that the plan is that Silksong will be released within the next 12 month. The silence before that is not the issue. But delaying the game in 2023 without committing to a new release window is poor communication. It is okay to voice your frustration.
There is an argument to be made that some members of the fanbase take this too far. However a lot of players are emotionally invested in their favourite games. They mean something to them. Seeing the trailer to a game that you might love and getting 5 years of almost radio silence after that is not pleasant. This all doesn't justify the outrage of course.
Please grow up.
You're acting like the game ever had a release date. This is part of the problem. You're acting like they "lied" or misled the fans when there was never a confirmed date in the first place. You heard a rumor that wasn't true and now you're blaming Team Cherry for the fact there was an untrue rumor.
And I never get the point of communicating the entire development process. Why? Are people planning release parties that they now have to cancel? No one is being actually "effected" by anything related to Silksong. it's just kids being impatient and irrational. No one is being harmed. If someone needs constant updates about a game to stay interested in said game then that's their problem...the rest of us can just play other things.
>World War 2 took less time.
>Please grow up.
I don't get this response. We can't reference a war now?
Oh man... retract your damn claws...
Again. You can and should the able to criticize without going crazy. I don't know why it has to be always black and white.
And no I am not "acting" or heard a "rumor".
Leth confirmed that they told Xbox that they planned to release the game in 2023.
But since you refuse to take my word for it here you go:

Well, clearly it didn't happen. Do you believe Team Cherry lied?
>I've largely lost all hype and moved on from this game
I don't even know what this means. Why do you "need hype?" What does "moving on" mean? You're NOT DOING ANYTHING. We have this idea that "waiting for a game to come out" is this brutal and taxing endeavor. We're all just playing other games and then checking boards like this every once in a while. This isn't some chore and it's not some great event to lose interest in posting on a message board.
No matter what you say, when the game comes out, you'll be getting it and all of this "I lost my hype" business will mean nothing. Why does everyone have to be so dramatic about a video game release?
The worst part is all the fans who keep blindly defending Team Cherry to this day while they have been spitting in your face for 4 years.
They haven't posted an update. Stop dramatizing.
