honestly i wouldn't mind it especially with what unity is doing ideally it shouldn't be a big shift given how the game is right? since its a 2d platformer with 3D aspects for better backgrounds i feel like there will be enough similarity for maybe 1 year or more merhaps more than one year if it is a big change for a engine change

Asking that tax from indie devs is like asking tax income from beggers.
