100% got cancelled, unless they clarify then I have to assume. Any game of this calibre that takes this long is in development hell or the project has restarted from scratch or cancelled all together and don't know how to break it to the fans.

I can confirm the game actually was cancelled, but I contacted the devs and convinced them to resume the project. The good news is they agreed, and the release date will be announced, and I quote, "before the release date"
