Why does something always need to be better than something else? Why can't a different game be just as good as Hollow Knight? Why do they need to be better?
But maybe a little teaser or bit of info? Damn, I just finished HK the third time and I want your next gem of a game ^^
Because children are impatient and want things NOW and don't think about these things.
And afterwards they can complain about how rushed it was and not woke enough
Of course I would be very happy to play it later this year.
Also adding the fact that, in the Nintendo Direct 2019, they should have wrote for SS approximate release date something more like "Coming eventually" rather than "Coming Soon", because this leads to expectations, and unmet expectations leads to general outrage or confusion IF they're not clarified, which it could happen either on Valentine's day or on the 3° anniversary of HK release.
It still stands but it has a new meaning now.
