32:9 Super Ultrawide -- YES!

Couldn't find a pillarboxing (black bar) fix for playing the game in superwide 32:9 aspect ratio (in my case 5120 x 1440). Black bars filled half the screen. So, I took a chance and tried the existing 32:9 pillarbox patcher for Bloober Team's "Blair Witch" game. Hot dang, it works (at least as of 8/30/20). I know maybe for some of you that's not surprising, but I don't know crap about this stuff and am simply happy when one of my hunches pans out. The superwide pillarbox patcher for Blair Witch is here on PC Gaming Wiki (the download includes a patcher for both 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios--I only tested the 32:9 patcher)>

When using it to rewrite the Layers of Fear 2 exe, just make sure to point the patcher program to> LOF2/Binaries/Win64/LOF2-Win64-Shipping.exe

For those of you who own super ultrawides and couldn't figure this out, you're welcome.

PS: The Universal Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker does work with LOF2 as well. It can unlock the console commands and you can manually set the proper FOV after patching the exe with the above pillarbox fix. An FOV of 135 to 140 seems pretty good at 5120 x 1440. Scary beautiful.

Hey thanks so much this worked perfect for me using the UU unlocker, I have a 3440 x1440 widescreen curved monitor and fov 120 looks the best for me.

What is also cool is you can force an invert Y. I have some games I cant play because I can only play them with an inverted Y axis and they dont offer it so would be cool if this software can solve that issue. Will have to try it if the game is supported by UUU.

Unfortunately this is not working with Epic Store version of the game :( Patcher won't patch the LOF2.exe at all and there isn't LOF2-Win64-Shipping.exe at all.

MrMicko, this worked perfect for me in the epic version of it. Make sure to start the game first, then alt tab out and start UUU, you should see LOF2-Win64-Shipping.exe in the list of processes. Click select then click inject dll. Click the tilda button to access the console to type in the command you want. Just did it again so I could write this for you. You should try it again.
Also for using the UUU you dont have to physically browse to the the .exe there is nothing to do there. But if for reference its located at ...Program Files\Epic Games\LayersofFear2\LOF2\Binaries\Win64
