Anyone got some ideas?
I already tried everything. Even tried to run using integrated intel CPU graphics.
Version from torrents. Same. All other Unreal engine games running just fine.
I think this is some sort of specific hardware compatibility issue. No errors, no logs, so it's not possible to understand what a problem are.
For now, I dropped that game for later future...
I can't start it straight from the exe in the main game folder, nor LOF2's binaries-folder. Same thing happens. I can see the process starting up for a few seconds in the task manager, but it closes itself down again.
11th gen i7-11700K @ 3,6ghz
NVIDIA Geforce RTX3070 Ti
Old computer, where it's working, has got Geforce GTX970, and some other 8 year old specs. :P
Just checked old computer, which has an i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30Ghz (12 CPU)
I have figured what the issue is. The problem is with newer Intel processors (10th, 11th gen) and older version of Unreal Engine. The developer should be aware of this, and that their game will not work with newer Intel CPUs (not sure about AMD).
Here is more details about the issue, and the workaround:
https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/openssl-sha-crash-bug-requires-application-update.html
The workaround, until the developer fixes it (not likely) is to go into the folder where the exe is, for example:
Open the command line (cmd) in the same folder and execute the following:
Then run the LOF2-Win64-Shipping.exe from this same command line. Just type
Hope this helps someone else with a newer Intel CPU.
