What's wrong with game

This game plays VERY similarly to the original. Just more paced out and with an enemy that chases you.

Most reviews have been positive with the odd exception. If you like the original and _observer then you will like this too.

It doesn't work this way unfortunately. Layers of Fear was a pure psychological horror, Observer included two clumsy stealth sequences (arguably the worst part of the game), and this one is a full-sized "horror" with running from monsters. And, well, not everyone is a fan of this gameplay mechanics.

That's fine. Nothing wrong with having different preferences. But even still this game is far more similar to the original than any other horror game. Additionally one of the biggest complaints against the original was lack of enemies. People complained about it left and right around launch.

You are right in that they are not comparable experiences but at least mechanically they all share things in common. What i was stating that if you like Bloober Team's games to this point despite being varied then there is a decent chance you will enjoy this too on some level.

Yep, and developers were cheap enough to give in to these demands. Lack of enemies (unlike in all these infinite Amnesia clones) was also one of the reasons why many people enjoyed the game, but who cares, right?

I played the first one multiple times for 100% completion and bought this one yesterday. And it plays like a real Layers of Fear game for me. The puzzles are great and sometimes very hard to figure out and the enemy that chases you is frustrating on some points, because you don't know where to go if you want to stay alive. But after some playtime you can handle it.

But at the end is Layers of Fear 2 a great game for me and i really want to know what will happen next (i'm at Act III now)

I'm on Act III with this shadow puzzle and the plant pot/fan on the chair. Still looking for a solution.

You probably aren't stuck anymore, but in case anyone else is, here is how I see it:
Basically when u peek through the keyholes you see a picture of weather that later appears on the wall, what worked for me was just to do the opposite, so, for exmple, the first shadows will show a clean sky (if I remember correctly) so you just pop the fan to make it windy. After doing a specific combination of these you should click on the plant, so it's tentacle things grow. After that you just move on to the next one.
The last one was strange for me, I just clicked the radio thing, left tap knob and the fan.

Thanks for your help. I figured it out by myself after some time. The last one is right, you have to click the fan, the left tap knob, the radio. And the plant pot to solve it.

I was a bit tired when trying to solve this puzzle on the first attempt. But on some point in the first room i understood how to solve it (played on the following day).

Finished my first run today. I really like the game so far
