domestic animals / wild animals / trained animals all swim > open door > thieve food > escape - meanwhile your hunter is chasing and missing before being exhausted, hungry, and defeated > and you have to wait another year to scour the map for hopefully a berry bush in the wild survives long enough to harvest. so you can plant, and wait a year for it to grow... to be destroyed by the door opening deer. and no, you cant target an animal to shoot while person is drafted > ofcourse not. and no, you cannot force a second person to hunt an animal already being hunting animal. two people shooting a bow at one deer makes no sense...ofcourse.
You don't need to tame every animal just because the option is there.
Only train cats, dogs, hauling- and attack animals you're fine with eating up your food stocks.
