Use half roof.

Personnally, even with half roof, my building was too big for the 2 half roofs xD

I think the roof limit has to to with the stability mechanic in the game, perhaps , but I agree, need some other options. something for rounded corners, I build my rooms 10x10 then the walls are on the outside of that, double doors, 2x2 rooms for the base building then work out from there, this is sort of the limit, but expanding out is where I have corner issues when it becomes a 4x4 4 of the 10x10 rooms connected the half roof works for the middle two rooms but the outer two rooms do not diagonally connect up correctly.

Yeah I'm hating this, finding building a roof is ridiculous. Can only really fit over small rooms and wtf is with supporting a 2nd level flooring! You have to fill a room with columns just to lay and support a 2nd level floor!

you can just use a wooden beam, it's enough to support the 2nd floor, if I didn't misunderstand your message @flashpg

Yep, I thought the same, but wooden beams really sort it out, you can have pretty large, open rooms if you place these regularly.

I just started using wooden beams to support either wooden flooring or the flooring that uses sticks as a roof.

If you just would read WHY you can not build your half roof you would have known what to do 🙄
The game tells you your roof needs support on BOTH ends which is obvious and realistic. So built beams as other already mentioned.

Sometimes I really wish me back the old times without an internet where people had to read instruction books and figure things out by there own. Today it's just to easy to always hit the forums before even trying to solve a "problem "on its own 🤪
People get to lazy, while I yet have to admit sometimes it happens to me too... 🤣

Use beams, problem solved.

Ah yeah I see the beams now thanks, altho they still dont reach from one wall to another as only go 10 squares, think I've made my rooms too big lol. Thanks

Frankly this is a missed opportunity to let people build unstable roofs which then collapse.

Would be nice if they have visual indicators of stability, like in Valheim
