[BUG] Hearth Production Stopping
This is a repost of https://steamcommunity.com/app/1029780/discussions/0/3418810183143514879/ but put in the correct sub forum, since further testing shows this is a bug and not just a misunderstanding.

I have a Hearth that is right in the open, with ingredients stocked in the same building it is in. The problem is that once my cook produces the amount of food I have set it to maintain, they simply never return. Even when the job queue is at 0/25 to maintain, it will simply say "Production idle" and can not have a worker assigned to do the job.

There are over 800 raw foods now, and over 1500 fuel in storage. The allowed ingredients list is fine and allowed to use the stuff we have hundreds of. Workers will not interact with it even if they are given no jobs outside of cooking and/or forced to prioritize production at the hearth (via right-clicking with a settler selected). Everything is accessible (how else did they produce it in the first place?) and no other workers are allowed to cook (I've tried with others with the same results).

This happens with all queues of the hearth, and can only be solved by rebuilding it (in the same spot or other doesn't matter). Completely removing all queues from it and redoing them doesn't do anything, pausing/unpausing the queue doesn't do anything, saving and quitting the game doesn't do anything. The second I rebuild it and set up production queues it starts working as it should, and my cook spends a few days rebuilding the stock to the point I told them to, before running into the same problem again once the maintain amount is reached.

I had this bug as well, a few times actually. They were also jobs set up to produce up to x number.
The bug seems to affect only one instance of a recipe that is active on a hearth, not on all hearths at once.
Ma test: After double checking that all ingredients are in stock and routable, and enough cooks are available (by making the same recipe on a different hearth with no problem), I deleted all but the idling recipe so to make sure nothing else was blocking the queue. Still idling, even when putting a settler on the task by prioritizing.

I was only two years into a save when it happened the first time, but it may have been about three uninterrupted game hours.

Man, this is the one bug making me not want to pick this game back up again until it is fixed lol. Hope this topic is seen and/or is on the buglist for the next patch :)
